Hello-

I have a Tissot watch that I cannot get the stem to lock into place. I bought it as a non runner. It came with the stem and crown. Any ideas to get it to lock? It pulls out with no effort. I have tried pressing the release while slowly inserting the stem, nothing. Goes in fine, but nothing engages.

Do you know the calibre of the movement? The number is usually stamped somewhere on the plates.

It could be a misplaced or broken setting lever spring. You'll have to remove the pcb to get to the keyless works to check it.

I think Hector has said it all, will need to cone out of its case , dial and hands removed , and also probably the pcb to expose the keyless work.  It would be helpful if we knew the caliber of the watch.

cheers

it's an older style Swiss movement. Looks like the ESA symbol next to the coil can't quite read the model number.. But same advice everyone else is giving you the stem doesn't stay in there is a part probably broken you'll have to taken apart and look. If you're lucky it's just out of place and not broken.
