Hi all of you,

I got a new watch for a few euros to disassemble it and try to make it work again. I am facing an unexpected problem : when reassembling the movement (France Ebauche 140 1 C), I realized that I had not taken note of the way the datograph spring should be positionned, and I cannot put it properly. When I screw the plate, it does not fit well.

Does anyone have a clue? Sorry for my bad English...

Can you show a pic of the underside of the date bridge? I think the spring will be fitted into a recess there, then the bridge placed, the spring should then be able to be pulled over to fit behind the jumper as the bridge is pressed into place.

Thanks a lot. I think it's ok now. The strange thing is that, when in place, this spring has quite a lot of free space. But I think that will work. I have to finish reassembling the movement.

Thanks again!
