Hi everyone,

I'm Vince, and I am only just starting my journey in watch repairing. It really started when my father died last year and my Mother gave me his old watches. Some were modern watches such as the timex indiglo which I gave to Megan my youngest daughter, something to remember him by. The watch that I remember him showing me when I was 8 years old was a seiko automatic movement and this is the one that I would like to repair.I'm studying the most popular books on watch repair and watching you tube videos. Currently just getting everything I need to start,as I understand the need for a good setup.if I'm to be comfortable and not lose the small parts. I have no doubt that I will need some help on my journey from people more experienced than me, but also I,m excited to be a member on this forum, and look forward to  talking to members about watches they like to collect.

Welcome Vince. You have come to the right place for the help you need.

Practice for a while on movements with no value to you before risking the reminder of your dad.

Hello and welcome to the forum Vince,  If you post some pictures of the Seiko and the movement plus the calibre number we may be able to find the tech sheets to give you a hand.         Cheers
