Which crystal for this chapter ring/insert?

Busy repairing a Winegartens watch but having trouble finding the correct replacement crystal. The original appeared to be high domed but the issue is the loose chapter ring that fits inside the old crystal, very much like a tension ring.

The diameter of the watch opening is 30.87mm, and the dimensions of the insert ring are 30mm diameter, 1.77mm ring thickness and .95mm ring height.

Is the best bet just to get a tension ring crystal and remove the insert, or is there something more specific?

Tried wading through the Sternkreutz documentation on the Cousins web site but I probably won't finish it until New Year.
