Hello dear watchmakers.

I am having trouble with this

Raymond Weil 1700 watch case.

Caseback shuts like a puzzle but I can't solve it.

Has anyone have experience with this case?

Thank you 😊

I've not seen anything like it before, but  I have an idea how it goes together. I think the small right-angled piece with the "cat's face" cut-out in it lies in that impression on the right of the caseback. The lyre spring fits inside the cut-out, probably with its open end to the right. If I'm seeing correctly, there is a pip on the caseback within that impression on the right, and the lyre spring slides over that, acting as a detent. Maybe you need to pit the lyre spring in place before the right-angled piece, then squeeze the spring together so it sits inside the cut-out.

Next, you put the oval plate with the RW emblem on top, but first rotated anti-clockwise from its current position. Push down and rotate 90 degrees clockwise, and it should lock into place. You might have to hold the right-angled piece over to the right as you push down, then push back in to the left to lock. The two screws appear to only secure the main caseback, like the two which are still in place, and can be replaced before or after the oval piece.
