Found this lovely forum looking for step by step instructions on servicing a vintage watch I recently acquired rocking a Tissot Cal. 781.

I am from Alberta, Canada and have had a passion for timekeeping devices for many years. It is only recently that I have dedicated some real work to learning how to service and maintain my mechanical watches. I am quite new to it all, and I look forward to the wealth of information stowed away in the depths of these general forums!

Pics are from the seller's ad, since the watch is still in the post. Currently stuck in Home Counties North MC, only a few hours away from you Richardharris123! Maybe we should arrange a pick up? (jk). 

I wouldn't say I am ready to give it its service/overhaul, but it will be my 2023 goal to give it a basic service, and polish it up a tad. I have to find some beaters to practice on first!

Wow!  Marvelous old Tissot, that is!  It's hard to top a well-planned design with such aesthetic proportions.  It looks good with anything you'd wear.  Very nice watch.
