Saw this on EBay and couldn't say "no".  $40 US and it was mine.  Has anyone ever seen one of these before?

I was watching that, or a similar one. How does it work?

I ended up buying one of the Bergeon nutcracker type ones.

It looks like you place the roller table up against the inside edge of slotted tube.  Then you turn the knob in the back, which advances a push rod.  (The rod has a hole to accommodate the tip of the staff).  Apply pressure and the table slips off inside the tube.  I have several watches with bad balance staffs, so I hope to test it soon.

So I assume the different colored rods are different sizes. Very cool. Good luck with it.
