Hi all,

Ok, so I thought that in the spirit of sharing and learning, I would expose my ignorance, and success so far with an attempt at a repair of my second watch.

This watch has a scratched crystal, broken stem, (I am still learning the lingo), and no activity even though I had fitted a new battery. Now I am aware that from looking on youtube, Armani watches dont seem to be looked upon with fondness. But, in the past month I have purchased some job lots of a mixed bag of watches, and the Armani ones, to me, look good. Maybe thats what matters art the end of the day. Anyway, As I am experimenting, I figured its best to try and 'fix' watches that I can buy cheaply first, and then if I do more damage, no problem. So this particular watch is an AX2063, and the first hurdle was getting the insides out.  After removing the back it became clear that the dial face was bigger than the back access hole. I have now read on this forum that other folk have had similar issues with other watches, and that the from bezel has to be removed. My watch, to me, didnt seem to have a bezel, (I had assumed that a bezel would be slanted, and have a serrated edge, but this one doesnt, its all square and smooth), however there is a groove around the top just above where the strap attaches. So, I had purchased some cheap tools, one of which is a back cover remover. I decided to see if it would work on the front cover, and within seconds it just popped off. Result. I have seen on here various description on how to go about this, but so far not seen the tool that I have.

Hopefully this may help others with this issue. Please see attached photo. The tool cost less that £20, and even though its a cheap build quality, (all of the tools that I have so far have been cheap to be honest), but it worked fine for me.

Have a great day. Cheers, Bob
