So we have a saying in engineering that when something is overly complex with too many moving parts, we say it's "built like a Swiss watch". So I literally have a Swiss watch that's "built like a Swiss watch". Maybe I have bitten off more than I can chew, at every turn I was greeted with more springs and unknown doodads 😱

Just hoping I took enough photos to put the thing back together!

Also, I am confident to do the lume on the hands, but wary of re-doing the lume on the dial as my one previous attempt was less than great. Any advice or recommendations?

Apart from the condition of the case and the dial, which are a challenge, the movement (as far I can read) is a 2836-2, which is a 2824-2 but with additional day-complication.

The movement isn't hard to work on. Most springs are in "one-piece". Be aware of the flimsy ratchet-wheel, easily and often damaged.

If it is a 2836-2 (?), attached the tech-info.

Keyless works of 2824 are persnickety.  Be careful when inserting the stem at final assembly.  Most advise to put the watch in SET position before removing the stem.  I think that is a good practice.  Mark has a video where he talks about the keyless works issue.

Back in the '80s...perhaps late '70s, Honda (car or motorcycle...cannot recall) had a commercial with the lyrics: "Get yourself a Honda...made like a watch that was meant to last a hundred years..."  Didn't specify "Swiss" though.

Thanks for all the comments and help, I got it back together and working well, just waiting on a ball bearing to fix the bezel, then will post pictures 😀

Here is a picture with the bezel not 'locked' in place.

Not 100% happy with the lume on the hands and dial, but not unhappy enough to scrape it off and risk damaging the dial to do it again.
