Hello everyone,

please, allow me to write a few lines of introduction of myself.
My name is Mauro and "I'm a boy from the last century", as my dentist once called me.
I write from Italy, Turin, a city which we can called "the Detroit of Italy"
I'm passionate about mechanical watches: pendulum clocks, wristwatches, everything that makes "tic tac".
Time is short, the topic is vast, in the end I know little.
For now I'm taking my first steps as a hobbyist watches-repair man, one who can celebrate when he takes apart a working watch and after reassembling it still works.
But ambition is great and as long as there is life, there is hope.
I'm interested in poor watches, also because it's better to talk about what you know (and therefore you can buy, have in your hands) rather than reporting only the hearsay of others.
On the wristwatch front, this means that I mostly know Russian and Soviet watches and some cheap chinese watches

I thank you for giving me this space and allowing me to enter this forum.

A greeting to all of you

Ciao Mauro, e benvenuto! Mi chiamo Giuseppe, piacere.

I have just started learning Italian and am hoping to visit next year. This is a very friendly and helpful forum. Good luck!
