I am trying to change a battery on a Fossil mens watch. The battery replacement on this watch seems to be different than the average watch. It appears that the battery cannot be removed easily, or am I missing a trick?

I'm not sure if you are supposed to change that. The battery is the large 3V coin cell that is just below the battery hatch. There is a YT video of a similar Fossil watch.

Thanks all.

Silly me the battery CR2430 was firmly attached to the watch cover when the cover was removed.

I find it refreshing that you told us what happened. A good learning curve possibly for others Thank you.

I agree with Ross, often people get a hint of a possible solution and never get back to tell how it worked out.

so thanks from me too.
