I currently want to modify a Seiko 5 series watch with the face of the Seiko 5 arabic dial silver/gold watch. Already have one silver and gold watch and looking to place the arabic dial face on an all gold watch case/band. Are the face's of series 5 watches all the same? In the sense of, could i change out the face of one for another easily or do they need to be the same size (42mm)?

I don't know if Seiko standardized the dial layout for all of their watches. Typically a dial is designed to fit a particular movement. So as long as that's the same movement it should fit with of course the other exception and that is how it fits the case itself. So you have the dial feet placement and the casings size and how the case and the dial come together.

Most Seiko dials I have seen are 28.5 mm in diameter irrespective of case size. If you could provide pictures and the movement number we might be able to help.
