Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me, I have a Cartier Tank to restore for Mrs W Christmas gift, can anyone help me determine its age? Is there a way to tell from the serial number or...?

You can ask Cartier, but I don't know of any lists for their serial numbers. The Must de Cartier line was started in '76, and ran to the early 2000s, so that narrows it down a little. What movement does it have?

Haven't cracked it open yet will open it and have a look

They had a fondness for ETA 2512 in those days, also the occasional Fontainmelon and AS- so parts should be no problem. Unlike earlier production using mostly JLC movements.
