How Crowns And Pendants Work?

Hi All.

 

on the Tissot I am restoring I have bought a new crown which is water proof, my question is, is the pendant meant to be flush with the watch case or slightly protrude??

 

I cant see a pendant in the case I have? but the hole looks like its not big enough to accept a pendant.

Hi James, the pendant tube will normally protrude enough to allow the crown to clear the case by about 5 to 10 thousandth of an inch when fully seated.

There is certainly no tube in the case!
