I've just serviced an ETA 2783 using the knowledge gained from Marks videos and this forum and had to publish before and after results , probably not perfect by a long way but to say i'm pleased is an understatement.

Thanks all for giving me the knowledge and the confidence to tackle it.

Sorry i didn't take pics along the way , i was to busy concentrating lol.

Looking good I don,t know if the amplitude is easy to adjust on the ETA 2783 but worth a tinker if possible if not easy I would leave alone.

Congrats Andy, well done, you must be chuffed.  I remember the feeling when I completed my very first service, such an amazing feeling.

Great stuff Andy!!

 

Man it was in bad shape before you serviced it mate .... was it just completely dry or very dirty?

 

Bet you're as proud as punch too mate, as you should be ... nothing like seeing a nice flat line on that timegrapher after all your hard work :)

Thanks Lawson yes it was filthy and had some rust due to water ingress around the stem/crown
