Poising Tool Ruby Jaws

Hi there, I just received my new (to me) poising tool. I'm in the process of giving it a service ,bit need help finding a new ruby jaw. There is a small chip in one of the existing jaws, see below.

Completely my fault I didn't spot this in the auction posting, but wondering where I could find a replacement jaw... Other than finding a donor on ebay. I tried CousinsUK, but they only have the Bergeon version not this older H&R version. Pictures

Hi,

Sorry, no such things as replacement jaws. They are grinded and polished together as a couple and the way of replacement is the same - glueing, grinding and polishing. If no other chips anywhere on the jaws, the tool still can be used as normal, just avoid this exact position where the chip is.

Is there a section with no chips? Normally, you don't need the whole length of the jaws.

Bit of wall filler it will be fine . Could you resin fill it ?

Thanks for the information, I'll take a good look under the scope tonight, hopefully there is enough to work with

I was thinking maybe of attaching a razor blade to the inside of the jaw, but only if there isn't enough of the good jewel to work with.

Haha i was just about to suggest that, ruins its asthetics somewhat. I was going to makel one with 2 razor blades until i got one like yours.
