I know how to assemble the hands on a mechanical or quartz watch with date display or not.

I wonder if to put the hands on a radio-controlled Citizen AS2031-57E (H461-T005527) requires special procedures or precautions.

If i am not mistaken since the hands are managed independently and electronically from each other, i think it is enough to put both of them at 12 and then set them and adjust them to the correct position by electronic procedure through the buttons.

Is that so? Or is there a particular method or precautions to follow?

a lot of this depends upon the internal construction of the quartz watch. Anything that's complicated with separate stepping motors there's an elaborate reset procedure to get the hands back where there supposed to be so the watch knows where the hands are. So basically you need to have the service manual.

isn't this weird I have the PDF  I hadn't closed it yet? On page 26 it tells you how to put the hands back on. Yes there is a procedure they usually is.

now I remember why have the PDF open I found it at this discussion.
