My dad has a Citizen Pro master Wingman with a C720 movement in it. He took it to Timpsons for a battery replacement and the guy in the shop said he can't guarantee it will still be waterproof. Anyway it turns out it's not waterproof and now it's full of water. Would anyone know where I could find a technical sheet for this movement? I've tried looking online a bit today but can't find anything!

Thanks in advance

attached is the tech /parts sheet. .   Can one ask how come it’s full of water. After being told that the waterproofing was not guaranteed.  Problem being electronics don’t mix especially withe the power source being attached.  You may be lucky but I should look out for a replacement movement or working donor to rob the movement from.

Thanks for that. He's worn the watch daily for the last 20 years, he said he didn't even think about it being on his wrist, because it's always there. He had a shower and when he got out he noticed the crystal has condensation on the inside. I may have exaggerated when I said it was FULL of water 😅 I removed the movement from the case last night and there's no sign of water on the coil or battery, however the dial has dried water spots on it. I'm not sure about stripping the movement further, I've never done anything with a quartz movement. I tried looking for a donor movement but they seem to be practically non existent. Even Jules Borel doesn't list this movement in their parts catalogue

Hi. That explains it, done that myself.  Leve the movement open with the back off and battery out for a few days in the sun and let it dry naturally, re fit new battery and try again if  it is not successful the circuit block may be toast,  Better if you can get the movement out of the case for drying what is your location

I've removed the movement and left it on a windowsill. I'm in north east England, so not very sunny today 😥 however I'll give it a few days and then try a new battery. The document you sent claims the movement is the same as the C700 with regards to parts and assembly. I've managed to find an exploded view of a C700 and some troubleshooting instructions. So if a new battery doesn't work in a few days I'll strip the watch and test the electronic circuit unit. No doubt it will require cleaning and oiling anyway. Thanks again for your help @watchweasol

Teesside. You live up here too?

Hi you will probably find there are a few citizen movements the same or close due to manufacturing processes.

Yeah by the looks of it the 700, 710 and 720 all use the same parts. I've dismantled the electronic side of the movement and inspected the circuitry. All looks fine, no signs of moisture or corrosion. I've left it disassembled and in the sun now that it's come out! Hopefully any moisture inside the analog block will evaporate as I really don't want to strip that down.

Brid isn't what it used to be, I only really go to Morrisons in brid. I avoid the town. But Scarborough is nice! I don't mind a wander round the beach between jobs

Yeah not much going on in the town , Scarborough is a bit better, but the missus and me love York. Good antique shops there, The antiques center on stonegate has a good selection of vintage watches, top price though.

Ah yeah right in the center of York! It's really busy round there, I tend to stick to the outskirts. Huntington, Clifton Moor, Monks Cross.. though I do go to Waitrose and Morrisons on Foss Island Road which is a nightmare to get to on an afternoon! Better now the flooding has stopped though
