Hi all! I dipped my toes into watch repair about 1.5 years ago, and I've really enjoyed learning the hobby since then. I've managed to accumulate enough tools and gear to do basic cleaning and oiling, and I've been fortunate enough to find lots of parts movements to practice on. My most recently serviced watch was a 1976 Seiko grand quartz model # 4843-8050, which I purchased from Ebay. Although there was lots of rust inside the case, I managed to remove the vast majority of it and get the piece running smoothly again. Although I love mechanical watches (of course), quartz has a big place in my hear too, especially the earlier models.
