Eyup peeps, back at turning the pivot for the arbor, this blue steel is so damn hard. My gravers barely touch it, i thought it might have been my sharpening of them but brass rod is streaming curls of swarf. I dont have carbide gravers so it looks like I'm going to have to make one from a carbide drill. Who likes my new watch chair, ive had to raise it up because of shortarsedness on my part ( bench is actually too tall ) . -

There's very little chance of shutting me up Ross 😆. Since a kid of 5 I've been into making things,it keeps the old grey matter active. Lol , thats so funny , i was doing exactly that at 1.00 am this morning with donor movementsI layering the tub , loose parts on the bothom hands etc, dial movement on top and the dial sandwiched inbetween. I need to get myself job or just get out more, problem is i dont like people 😆. -
They've had it on a winder without the back so don't think the problem is anything rubbing.
