Samsung S23 data issues

Hello all

My S23 won't automatically connect to Data, I have to toggle aeroplane mode on and off. I am quite tech savvy, tried everything I could think of and spent a lot of time looking up the issue but not joy. Any suggestions?

Are you connecting to mobile data via 4G/5G or using you WiFi?
Maybe worth removing and reinserting the simm card.

Have you set a data limit?

I have a S24+ which had a software update yesterday. Did you get that?

Have you paid your bills

Mobile data, bills paid.  The phone has had numerous updates but the issue wasn't resolved.

You could check the simm by trying it  in another phone.

Have you called your network provider?

The sim works, I'm with O2, they wanted the phone sending back but I  would have to transfer everything back onto my old phone and then retranser it onto my replacement.  I have been trying to fix the issue myself.

Have you tried the reset option for mobile network settings?

(settings > general > reset > reset mobile network settings)

Thanks but yes, I've tried everything I could think of and any other suggestions on the net.  I was hoping that someone on here could suggest something else.  I'm pretty sure it's the phone.

I read this solution on a post.

Go to Settings - Connections - Mobile Networks- Network Mode. Choose a network mode that doesn't have 5G.
