I don't anything would penetrate enough to make it worth while and you don't want to be getting oil on the dial.

Hi Rich, I use CNC graver bits like this to make cutters for lathe work - both hand or crosslide support https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156187467226?itmmeta=01J1FXE1XJ8S5VFNX495C27PTK&hash=item245d7f9dda:g:lQUAAOSw0~1mL7fg&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0K9BuIOgX2fZEaHQYQk59Qd5cMC4Sw6bSbBFrSxGDSOD29%2BYZPmZMySDVV71JxNJAnKV7lMkAwKsZJAonq2%2FEm3cF3zZ%2BATwZspxIQVG3FLdlXRLIlL0Cjy8dpkadqDrqM43nxrtd2IYJEE5G2qSXOTLA6WqOpmEAlwzyQoD0PYogDORtM%2BBtURyKZxeKIAWgqoaMwLeckAjMrFtCqjxA%2FWD5GAlPy%2FSlnrDNIqKvsePszv5JOGc5gF9D0kQ3DRbs6SuDIUCZQXuMrLEyaY4R8o%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_KeuP2LZA -

I think you guys are onto something. The movement is a Longines 343, case #2579-343. The crown is a Longines 13WP. I grabbed another Gruen stem I had and it does thread in a few threads, but still stops as if it were the wrong thread pitch. I compared it (top) with the original stem and a brand new replacement 510 stem, and all seem the same. The other 510 stem doesn't thread in at all, just like the factory one. I compared the factory crown on the left to the new one, and they sure seem the same to me. I used my microscope's measurement feature and they seem very, very close. -
Thank's for your reply. Yes, you re right. I think there is a wrong part somewhere because today I saw something more strange . Hour take +/-15 for an hour BUT chrono run well and keep time !!!!!!!!! So I don't think it's a problem with balancer. Perhaps a wheel !? It's crazy
