Every Rolex 1520-30-60 I have seen needed attention concerning the center hole due to becoming oblong,. Either a bushing or jewel needed to be there!

For such nice watches, that is a significant oversight. The American pocket watch industry figured that out in the 1870’s! Of course, if it’s just a metal hole, the watch will need service sooner. Maybe a bean counter move?

Do most of you use a brass/beryllium bushing or a jewel when repairing these? I know the standard is a bushing but a jewel makes more sense to me.
