I have just finished servicing this tiny watch and am amazed at the amplitude (340 degrees - too much?) and accuracy (20s/d 0.0ms). I have moved onto the case whioch has polished up nicely. However I am unsure if the case is gold plated or not. The weight does not suggest solid gold but I cannot see any base metal wearing through. The markings on the gold coloured case look like △u10' but cannot find out what that means.

I believe the movement is known as a Zaria and has the number 1509B.1.

I'm guessing it is 1960s / 1970s. Anyone able to shed any light on whether this is gold plated and also age of the watch?

It is plate so be careful when polishing as you could rub the plate off. They were about in the 70's I can remember repairing this sort of Russian crap. I think the movement is a  raketa which means Rocket. I t has a little shim under the balance cock.
