servicing a seiko 7s26 divers watch and everything is running swimmingly(i know, corny!) except i am struggling setting the day wheel. the date turns correctly as does the daywheel when i just pull out the stem to allow the quick set. all fine, but when i pull the stem out fully and wind the watch round at midnight , the date flips correctly but the day wheel, although it turns it does not quite make it level with the date! i have tried  variou things and tried different wheels of other movements i have spare but they all turn out the same! would appreciate any help. What wheel do you mean? (edited)

How does the day date corrector wheel look?

I pieced a DressKX together (bought case, movement, dial, hands, and band separately) and found that the day wheel was not aligned with the date wheel.  I had to get a replacement day wheel that works for the crown being at the 4 o'clock position, instead of 3 o'clock.

i think its the little white wheel that turns the day wheel, but it looks ok and spins fine before i put the day disc on!  like i said before it works fine on auto but not when i turn the hands for 24 hrs, it then does not quite go level with the date., weird!!

to the earlier question i meant the day disc!?

If I understand correctly, the day disc is turning, but not quite aligning properly afterwards?

If that is correct:

The part I've outlined in blue is labelled as the Date jumper, that presses outwards.

Logically, the part I've outlined in green is then the jumper for the Day disk, that presses inwards?

My guess is that either that's possibly snagged under the day disk rather than set on the edge of it's rear drive star wheel, so not making it jump to alignment,

or, it's not putting quite enough pressure on the drive star wheel edge & holding firmly enough between the teeth of the wheel for it to always align properly.

Try flexing that in a bit towards the centre of the movement, if that's the case, so the disk positions reliably.

So now I know you mean the disc then the problem could be that the star on the back of the disc has become loose.

Check out this video.
