Hello Everybody,

Is this a fake Rolex, it looks real to me but it's really cheap so I'm doubtful.

Also, the winding stem is out and the seller says it want go back in, could this be a big problem or just the keyless works need to be reassembled correctly.

Looks like a horrible cheap copy. Look at the poor quality of the bracelet ends, and the notches round the edge of the back are not sharp.

The diamond does not line up with the hour marker, the graining on the case looks poor, the hands don't look right etc etc

Hi unless you can get to see the movement. I should leave it alone, what’s tha asking price.

Hey, Yes I'm not buying it, the price is around $15 delivered.

I bet it has one of them crappy 0 jewels movement inside it since the seller said its automatic multiple times.

Doesn't Rolex give a referrence No on case back?

Problem with online purchase is you don't have the watch to put on timegrapher and let the escapement tell you stuff about its heart.

What if the seller brought this to your door?   Can you tell by just its appearance?  Did you know, that weight of the piece is one specification of a genuine Rolex.

Many don't have a timegrapher,  but we can at least  download a simple app off the net, I have WATCH ACCURACY METER  app,  on my smart phone. Very simple , all you need to use it is your hand set.

Some of the replica movements are getting very close, BUT they have not replicated the free sprung balance. All have regulator pins (as shown in this pic from the video), and not Breguet overcoil.

The video is worth watching.

My sifu said that it's not because the Chinese cannot produce a 100% fake Rolex. The video already said that there are things in the fake that look better than the original.

The reason they don't do it is lest they themselves can't tell them apart.

If they could produce a 100% copy, they would. They don't because it's too expensive to copy the free sprung balance.

Are you kidding ?

Why would they be worried about that? These watches are produced to con people. Otherwise they would stamp Chinese Made on them somewhere.

Also looks like the complete pendant tube has been pulled out with the crown instead of unscrewing it.

To me the crown and to just look suspicious.

Hi Ammar,   Fifteen dollars !    No way is that a Rolex but for a curio may be worth a punt even if it’s scrap it’s worth practising on .

To be fair, you can get a surprisingly good deals sometimes, I just bought a Certina DS in great condition for like $25 (the date change wheel is missing but we don't like to talk about that).

I'll buy this watch and post a photo of the movement, this should be fun and I might have a working watch at the end that I can give to somebody.

Hi,

I received the watch and to be honest the movement isn't as bad as I expected, it's not great neither but it's good for practice.

Really, are you sure? Look at that quality of that cheap Chinese movement 🤣

I think I see graining on that rotor.  It’s definitely a high end cheap Chinese movement 😝…
