What is the best way of tackling the black infill you get on 1960's hands? It's not lume obviously but it is probably applied in a similar manner to the back side of the hand.

Is it just enamel paint or is it anything different?

For example, these hands look like they are not fully pierced, more like a part that is pressed lower than the surrounding hand. In this case, apply enamel paint and then the rub clean?

It's probably the same for the dial indices but the chances of stuffing something up go up dramatically.

It is black paint. Get yourself a small tin of Humbrol black. I used an old watch oiler the thick one for this task worked a treat. Don't forget to remove the old paint first.
