Tissot 2031 movement

Hi folks

anyone fitted an alternative quartz movement to an old seastar, saw a post saying a Ronda 505 fits but have one of these and a lot smaller so dial won’t attach

A Ronda 515 is the correct Dia. if it's the 25.6 Dia. but what's wrong with the original 2031?

The original is in pieces at the moment the crown keyless works not operating, was thinking just replace to get it working whilst I try and repair original movement

You do know that these aren't set as a normal watch by turning the crown?

Yes, I got it cheap and the stem was loose, the plastic part holding the stem/crown has disintegrated , have ordered one online so will have a go at repairing.

I think by the time you've sorted an alternative movement along with new hands & spacer and crown swap you'd be better just waiting to repair the original.
