Hi it’s my first time working on a Felsa and when I removed the mainspring from the barrel I was unaware the arbor was attached to the lid. Anyway due to this I didn’t pay attention to what way the mainspring was wound. I checked the data sheets and I now not even sure I can use the mainspring fitted. The data manual shows a hook and separate bridle mainspring, perhaps someone can tell me what mainspring this is that’s fitted and if it is suitable to use?

And if you know what way it’s wound in that would also be appreciated!

What you've got is a generic mainspring as below.

You should be able to confirm what you've got is correct by comparing the measurements.

Edit

Looking at a couple of videos the spring should rotate anti-clockwise.

The original mainspring that came out of these movements back in the 50's came in two parts, One part was a 'slipping bridle' and the other was the mainspring.

You haven't got a slipping bridle in your barrel, which is alright, because you have a modern automatic mainspring which is a modern replacement for what was originally there in two pieces. Modern mainspring still have the two pieces, they are just spot welded together and work in a slightly different way, but intrinsically the same.

So to work out which way the spring goes, look at the hook on the barrel arbor which is part of the cover. remember it goes upside down, so take that into account when working out which way the hook catches the hole in the mainspring
