if you look at the specifications sheet for the 8200 you'll notice the following thixotropic properties? I have a Wikipedia link below that explains the technical. The simplistic in watch repair it seems to be that the solid and the oil will separate with time and you just have to mix it up. As one of the reasons it works so well for mainspring grease is that it becomes fluid inflow between the cracks of the mainspring as opposed to getting pushed out and never returning from where it came from. So yes basically with time it does separate.
