Movement ID help

Was sent these photos by a friend and asked if I know what make etc this movement is.
Only marking that is seen is the 1938 on the upper plate.
obviously missing  platform, would anyone have a picture of this movement complete please?

Can you tell me what this is and has it got anything to do with the clock.

Hi.  I think we need more pictures of the complete clock , front, side and back before hazarding a guess .  It looks like a bulkhead clock as fitted to old car dashboards.  I have one that winds via the bezel.

Guys, thanks for the replies, I will ask for more photos and get them here asap, Id take them myself but the friend is 40 miles away. As soon as I have the I will post.

The whole platform is missing. I can't find a image of the correct one, this is as near as I can find. but it is the wrong way around.
