Vostok 2409 mainspring or barrel complete?

I am looking for a mainspring or barrel complete for a Vostok 2409. Ideally new but good condition will be OK.i can see them for sale (prices in Euro) on Vostok-24 but not sure I can get them posted to Australia.

Alternatively does anyone know the mainspring specification/ size and whether or not there's a suitable GR Swiss mainspring? The GR documents on Cousins only show 22xx movements.

Can you not just measure the old spring?

Yeah, I can. I am just trying to be lazy.

My old mainspring had a bent terminal end, it looks like the bridal broke off at some point. Just reinstalled it in a serviced movement and now it is slipping when wound rtiht (it didn't do that previously). I wanted to see if I could get a replacement because I don't trust the one that's installed in the barrel. I could take it out and see if I can get it to stop slipping again. (Maybe install a piece of broken spring into the fold to try and make a loose bridal to grip the barrel wall).

They're readily available here in the UK and know I've got some somewhere
but not sure what eBayers would ship and charge to Australia.

I have a Vostok Komandirskie 17J Cal 2414 - same as 2409 but with date. 

I serviced it a couple of years ago and added a new mainspring. Looking at my notes. I used :

GR3126  1.25 x .105 x 320 x 9.5

BTW, the lift angle is 42°

I've looked in all the usual places - Cousins, GR database etc but I can find no reference to the mainspring size, so I'm not sure where I found it. I suggest you measure your spring before ordering.

Thanks Mike, I pulled the spring to add a loose bridal to it (it didn't work, still slipping) and measured the spring. I got measurements that tally with yours (at least for the depth and strength - the length looks about right considering that I didn't want to stretch it out and the end has been obviously remade at some point). The GR3126 has been helpfully discontinued so I am going to order a GR3127 which is the same dimensions but slightly longer at 340mm. There is also a GR3125 at 1.25 x .105 x 300 x 9 but not sure if it's better to go with a longer or shorter spring length.

It depends if you've got winders or not as the GR3127 may need to be rewound to fit in the barrel.

      The ones I have opened also do not have a pry point , hence the reason for the tool. The watch is clamped in the tool and a blade is screwed into the seam, the blade being chamfered lifts the back then the screw shaft is turned and the back comes off have a look on Ali express for case back removal tools

      I have no experience with this watch, but looking at the pictures from the ebay listing linked above, it looks like the outer metal bezel at the back of the watch may not be part of the case proper.  It looks like the watch and strap are sandwiched together, and an inner case may push out of the rear bezel towards the front of the watch.  A case style similar to the Roamer watches where the crystal, movement and caseback pushed out through the back of an outer bezel, only in reverse - this one may push out towards the front.  To test this, you would need to hold the watch, dial down, supporting the dial side of the watch around the edge of the bezel without touching the bezel itself. Then push down carefully on the inner metal ring you can see at the back of the watch. I’m speculating here, proceed at your own risk. Hopefully someone with hands on experience of these watches can chime in! Best Regards, Mark

      Thanks, Mark. That's the kind of reassurance many of us wanted to hear! Yes, life is unfortunately unpredictable, and it would be a shame if the many dedicated WRT: ers became stranded if, god forbid, something happened to you and WRT stopped working.
