Serviced this today.  Never seen anything like it.  Pin-lever movement.  It is working!

interesting how the brain works I saw the title and is pondering what it is until I saw the picture and yes I've seen one before somewhere probably in a book. Then yes interesting the variety of clocks on the planet over time. So how long does it take the fall one day a week probably not a month.

as interesting as this is my favorite was always the incline plane clock as it seemed to defy logic as to how it works.

I don't know!  Will let you know as it runs.  Given weight of the of the movement and housing (the part that falls), my guess is one day.

Is it a modern repro or genuine? Also known as a Japanese gravity clock. Very popular with Germany I think they make them.

Looks modern to me. Made in Japan.
