rado 2979 309 mainspring

hi guys i'm braking my head and buying 2nd time wrong main spring . can somebody help with rado 2797 309 can't find correct as far as i understood it should be eta 2783  and should be GR4006X but it does not fit. can somebody help to find correct?

Here it says the mainspring is 1.45 x 10.5 x 0.12 x 368mm. Which is  quite a bit shorter than the the GR4006X which is 400mm long

Cousins don't have an exact match but I would think the GR39981X or the GR3956X would be a better comprimise

What do you mean by it doesn't fit and photos would help.

ETA 2783 from Cousins so the question becomes are you sure it's a 2783?

Just looked at the Ranfft link provided by @ColinC and it shows the Rado 2797 309 as a 2773 which is the same GR4006X anyway.

No idea if Ranfft has it right... but there are 2 different mainsprings listed on the ETA2773 page - the same shorter one as was listed on the Radio 2797 309 page and the one that matches the GR4006X.

The 32mm difference in length shouldn't cause a problem with the barrel size.

The OP still hasn't explained how it does not fit. Is the spring too wide, or arbor too loose?

yes arbor doe not even hook to main spring really loose.

Sorry guys for a long wait, actually nube at watch repair so did not knew that most of the time need to ajust mainspring to arbor, I found video Alex teaching how to solve problem.  So now have beautiful working Rado 2797 purple horse 74. Very nice watch. Thank to all who was trying to help

You're best searching eBay for active & sold listings.

None now but that's why I said 'sold listings'.

There's also a lot of similar watches which should give you an idea of price.
