Hi All,

I wonder if anyone might be able to help me identify the markings on the back of this west end watches...watch, please.

SIS?

Y 6600?

I've as yet been unable to find anything online that matches.

Thanks in advance

Matt

Thanks guys, that enabled me to narrow down the search! I've found markings that look similar (although the arrow tends to go through the middle of the SSs on others ive seen), so that looks to be along the right track.

I'll pop the case open shortly and will report back.

Thanks again

Usually any time I see the arrow symbol on A British watch I do think of army as I think it's their symbol.

Known as The Broad Arrow or Pheon....originally used to mark British Government ownership....later adopted by the British army. I think its no longer used ....🤔 actually illegal to use it without permission.

🤔 A British field agents watch.....one great way to give away your identity as a spy 🤣

Not something our " James " would wear. " Do you expect me to talk "......." Nooo Mr.Bond I expect you to die "

Hell yeah I'd talk if i was strapped down to a table with a laser heading towards my nuts 😂

Can we find out more about this symbol pleaseee ?

Strange how the outside number doesn't match the inside number and there's nothing on the movement cover.

Looks to me like some doctoring has taken place.

Perhaps the ref on the case back is a military ref and the one on the inside is the serial number of the watch no?
