I’ll be honest I’ve put a new battery in it, as for test equipment I can wait till I get to my mentor and have him go through it.

but for not working, well. It’s not working, sorry can’t go into any more depth than that I’m afraid, I’m not a quartz specialist.

ill get the full patent number and post it up here

If it's from what I think then it's worth looking into further with the potential to repair if needed as you won't find anything else like it.

I’ll be honest the only information I’ve found is Alatron website in Switzerland and all they have is a contacts page.

im looking at putting it on the mentors test machine to see where the problem is.

i only have a cheap line tester for quartz as I only work on mechanical clocks  and this is just a personal purchase so no pressure on a repair if you know what I mean.

I've only ever seen these movements in Tiffany and the odd Paiget travel clock.

Last one was a quite few years ago but an easy fix as it was just the crystal.

Glad to hear it's working.

Time side is working but the alarm isn't unfortunately, I don't know if you are familiar with this movement,  But to set I adjust the alarm hand and then pull the crown to the out position, when the hour hand reaches the alarm hand no sound is emitted, so now I need to figure out whats wrong on this side of the movement, Oh give me a Westminster/repeat carriage clock etc !!!!

I'm saying no unless its well camouflaged, i didn't see means of connecting one from the movement unless you are able to tell me different?

Normally with an alarm it uses a contact like the brass centre piece and then has a spring
in one of the holes for the 2nd contact but maybe this is integrated in the movement.
