I would imagine that his tools are quite basic, most tools make life easier but aren't essential.

If it's true, that all his wealthy ex-customers don't value their Rolexes any more, then he could make a killing.

I believe it was Dr Sébastien Chaulmontet, Sellita's head of innovation and marketing, who said relatively recently that the market for luxury watches is flourishing like never before, while the demand for ordinary quartz and mechanical watches is more or less in free fall.

Like so many other independent watchmakers, poor Bala Muhammad has probably been affected by manufacturers' restrictions on ordering spare parts.
