ETA 2512-1 strange issue. Going from perfect to snowstorm

Hello. 

I’ve got this ETA 2512-1 that i just gave a service. It was running fine (see timegrapher) - maybe not as high amplitude as I wanted, but didn’t change mainspring.
After I cased the movement it got completely snowstorm and could barely get a reading. I took the movement out and it was still snowstorm. I could regulate it back, but now it’s running very weak and snowstorm… 

My plan was to redo the whole thing, and inspect everything under the microscope
It had some corrosion, before service but maybe I didn’t got it all out..

EDIT:
I did demagnetized the movement after it did the strange reading. 

Any suggestions?

 

UPDATE:

After sitting and running for 24 hours I get this reading on the timegrapher (without regulation, that can easy be regulated to be perfect)

-12 seconds 

277 amplitude

2.6ms beat error 

Is that normal?

Do you have a pic of the 'snowstorm' on the timegrapher ? 

Does it occur if you only wind it about half way ?

It seems like we are back to the snowstorm..I’m not sure, but maybe it’s running better in half wind, and that’s why it ran better after 24 hours.. 

this is now. I can’t get it regulated in.. if I move the regulator more to minus the balance will stop..

Is the hairspring flat and the coils evenly spaced? Are you sure that the hairspring is not hitting the balance arms?

The check I always do is, remove the pallet, give the balance a good blast with a blower, and it should still be moving well after 30s, ideally 45s - 60s.

Just did that check. It stops running after 66 seconds. So that seems to be fine. 

But u noticed this. Is that too much play?

The side play at the top is a little too much, but the problem is more likely the vertical. It looks like the barrel could be hitting the seconds wheel, mainplate or bridge - especially combined with the side play at the top.

Is it a brass bush at the top?

I cleaned the balance again in one dip for a longer time and reoiled the jewel. Now it’s like this.. but I don’t know if that’s gonna last

I'm not sure I would call that a snowstorm it's not good but a snowstorm as a whole bunch a random dots.

Also when diagnosing with your timing machine more than one timing position is nice like dial up, dial down and for a wristwatch crown down would work. Because often times things will not show up in one position only.

then it mainsprings interesting in the video because one it's greatly magnified so look much worse and it is. But it doesn't look good and your timing machine looks like a power transmission problem is why it's all over the place.

but what would explain this?

thinking of oil and looking at your timing machine how do you lubricate the escapement?
