Hello there, thanks for letting me join the watch repair talk forum. I'm an engineer/scientist with expertise in femtosecond accurate timing (PhD in femtosecond laser time systems). I recently discovered mechanical watches and I started restoring old pieces as a hobby. I've come here to exchange information and get assistance to questions.

Femtoseconds..... Wow!

What is a femtosecond scientist doing in the realm of...er... "macroseconds"? 🤣

Do you laugh at what we consider accuracy?

Sorry. Welcome to WRT. Where vintage time prevails.

Thank you for your introduction and welcome to this friendly forum.

We all look forward to your contributions and continued involvement.

If there is anything we can help you with don’t be afraid to ask. Nice clear photos can help a lot.

I wonder what you think of the first clocks and watches timekeeping? 🤣
