Could it be copied? I wouldn't know how complicated that would be. Sounds pretty complicated.

The bracelet is....in technical terms crap, Andy picked that up, I tried to hide it after the first picture . I thought the dial was quite good tbh and might throw a few of you off. I think it has little combinations of a couple of models, the blue dial I posted was close to it.  The main spot was probably the lume pip, it does come in solid white background but the ring is thicker on the original . And the hour hand is from a different model as well. I'll post tge movement......its naff

The letters are linked in the "OMEGA". That's the super wrong obvious thing that immediately jumps out without looking too close at the rest.

Some models have them linked and some do not. Looks like the factory has all the elements to do better but mismatched them slightly on this one.

Date window, pip on bezel and strap would still put me off even without seeing the back.

Definitely the strap, the lume pip ok, what was it about the date window Andy ?

The tapered hour hand and the solid strap links were the big giveaway for me.

Without any direct comparisons, it's a very good likeness though.

Yours has a square date window with smaller numbers inside the oblong surround.

The date magnifier cyclops is obviously not right - too weak of magnification. That's the first thing I would look for and don't need to keep looking.

Edit: Oh but you said the crystal has been replaced. It could have been a bad aftermarket crystal with a crappy magnifier, so next I would say that even from one photo at a distance, the edges of the hands are not nearly smooth enough.

Omega does do that hour hand just not on what this model is supposed to be.  The missus said the shop had rows of draws full of expensive looking watches. He gave her a proper business card, I'm curious to have a look but I think I'd be too tempted to buy something.  Apparently his top end fakes sell for 2 grand.

That was a new (supposedly Rolex) crystal from ebay, so I don't know with that.

(Possibly a pattern one? It's some years ago).

You guys never fail to run with a fun post. The two push buttons have a vital function - decoration. "Did I service it ?" Well I was still looking for a big enough hammer when the owner got the message and departed. The Crown and stem had already made a run for it. I remember buying a "Bargain" Seiko some years ago which sort of ticked. Inside was an early Seiko Mechaquartz. I was so impressed it's still on my shelf. A priceless rarity. With original box and toilet papers. Make me an offer. Neil

i didn't expect it to be much of anything, I was kinda impressed with the dial though...for a fake. 

I'm dying to see what the timegrapher says about it.

The first thing anyone would pick out is the steel slotted head ruby jewel rotor bearing , its a new design the forgers have been working on . It's a steel screw that looks like....a steel screw.

I found examples of applied linked lettering on Chrono 24 with authenticity certificates and papers, older models. Without personal experience Jason that's all I can go on really.
