Accurist quartz chronograph hand setting.

Anyone familiar with this watch, I tried setting the hands by pulling the crown to the second position but nothing moved.

What is it like inside Rich, I used to wear an accurist chrono many years ago, i still have it .

These run better and longer on a 399 as opposed to the 395.

The grey plastic disc is what surrounds the hole as an insulator.

Ordered a battery.  In the meantime, how do you remove the pushers.

You've got to remove the circlips but from memory they're a nightmare due to lack of space.

Can't even see the circlips, there are bit sticky.  Could a drop over oil be added inside and out and then wiped off?

If they're sticking then it's probably the cheese so the only way is to strip them.

You may get away with just removing the one from the crown(s) side then the able to slide the movement out which gives you clearer access to the other.

Pusher removal is the one thing I try and avoid.

I don't think this will come out the front and the only way to remove it from the back is with the pushers out of the way.

The movement is out, unfortunately the pusher is bent.

Just had a look at your original photos and 2 appear to be bent with one having taken a knock to the tube also.

Good eyes Andy.  He doesn't wear it, just wanted to see it run.  A new pin and springbar for the bracelet. 

I doubt very much that he will want the pushers replacing but if he did are they available?

I've never been able to find a source for genuine ones but been lucky in the past with generic ones as they're so plain.

Just remembered that Accurist is now part of Time Products so may have a source if you want/need them.
