I have the chance to buy a vintage Tissot automatic seven. It has this strange looking piece on the case back and I don’t know what it is. I was wondering if it is some kind of fixing point for a “special” Tissot case back removal tool? I have been told that opening this case is not as simple as just unscrewing it.
Grateful for any advice

thanks, Bill

I think it unscrews to come off, so to provide  access to regulator/adjust arms, without having to remove the case back.
