Hello MuDu,

You say you have old mechanical wrist watches, how nice because I don`t like the quartz stuff. I learned my trade repairing  mechanical wrist watches and later I went into the antique clocks side of things making parts and restoring them. Welcome to this very friendly forum.

Hello David,

Welcome from me as well.

You will get loads of help here, I know I have.

How far have you got as regards repair / servicing.

Don't forget to search the threads as well, stuff crops up and is dealt with on a regular basis. Don't forget to take pics before and after dismantling, it really helps when putting them back together.

Cheers,

Vic

Welcome to the forum David.  Interesting handle you have, do you collect them?

Yes I do. My first was my father's which was given as a 21st birthday present in 1960.

I have six of them (1 hand winder, 5 autos), one of which is in need of attention as it loses and gains time.
