So excited,

Hamilton Khaki King Automatic on my wrist and the new project is a Swiss Army Vitorinox  Automatic.

So far loving the Hamilton- the look, feel and accuracy are wonderful, still haven't told the wifey :startle: .  It's also a night and day difference working on old Russian and cheapo HMT's from ebay to this automatic.  Turning out to be a real pleasure.

That's a couple of nice watches you have there Dan. The Hamilton is a classy item, are you going to refinish the case?

I look forward to hearing how you get on servicing the Swiss Army watch!

Outside of a little buffing..... no.    Putting it on the timegrapher really sealed the deal, still can't help but keep glancing at the Hamilton on my wrist all day.

The Swiss Army has a ETA #2836-2.  So far a pure joy to strip down, would of finished last night but my young son woke up (scared of thunder and lightening).  I only get a chance to tinker after everyone gets to bed so its usually after 9 pm.  Been trying my best to take photos along the way but always get too involved, at least I have the tech manual.

Hi dbals, although a little late, I wish you the best with the project...or maybe it is finished? Did you restore the swiss army dial? How did you do it? Soap and water, baby oil, what was the recipe?. It looks so shiny and ...like new!

I see you are from the big city... I'm myself from the northwest suburbs but I've been living down south, in Florida, for some time now.

Done......

The only thing I did with the dial was use rodico to remove some dust.  I keep forgeting to take more pictures but I am getting better.

Oh no, Cubs fan?
