as I wait to see how the omega will perform an interesting job came in...a lecoultre galaxy mystery dial watch....I am going to get the dial refinished if I can figure out how to detach it from the movement...any advice would be most welcome...thanks...

Interesting! Could you find any cams, hooks or screws on the side or bottom edge? What movement are you working on? Unusual looks!

Ooooo, I do like that, the dots indicate the time. It looks like the disk rotates with the hour dot and the minute dot is connected to an arm that bends around the edge of the disk. I would think you will have to pull these off before you can remove the dial. Without having it in front of me I can't suggest how to do it. Possibly there were special tools at the factory to do this.

I released the dial screws and gently lifted the dial...it came off in three pieces...the hour wheel appeared to permanently staked to the middle disc under the transparent disc...the lecoultre disc forming an annular piece...the faceted pieces seem to lock the sets together....

Excellent, it's good to know how these unusual things are put together. I think this will be the only information on the net regarding this procedure.
