I could not find a plate to attach my Pivot Polisher to my lathe cross slide, so i made one. Flattened the head of a brass screw to fit the slot then measures and drilled accurate holes. Cut the screw down and used a wing nut to tighten it down. Works perfectly and can be driven from a collet and wheel or from the rear pulleys .3db1b2f198086d36a42e91878ce92993.jpg71311ef62efdb72c222f79e3d9504acb.jpg3cdece28f2166a0926f99883d4b1e00a.jpgbcbc5edde8e38e8d083c02c1a0b086bd.jpgc0754a5ac9fd8b5e5453f0b171b4cad4.jpg5982810cb49ed28d764cb1fd7f6bbd0b.jpgf2b53945ffa4fc866f6e562bee25c2db.jpg677e0d7a4c6d740fb0344097c500aaa9.jpg

When you have your own lathe, you can make or adapt bits for your own work. It can great fun too. Nice clear photos.

Nice video.

You will come up against repairs that need lathe work but you don’t quite have the right tool to complete the task. That’s when the fun begins.

You are right. I love thinking up mew ways of using tools or making tools to solve problems. Keeps mind active. Not retired yet, 58, but love the distraction from work: aerospace.
