Making a lathe plate for a Pivot polisher

I could not find a plate to attach my Pivot Polisher to my lathe cross slide, so i made one. Flattened the head of a brass screw to fit the slot then measures and drilled accurate holes. Cut the screw down and used a wing nut to tighten it down. Works perfectly and can be driven from a collet and wheel or from the rear pulleys .

I have now painted the part with Hammer Paint and it looks great. This paint is a primer and a paint and is very durable.

You are right. I love thinking up mew ways of using tools or making tools to solve problems. Keeps mind active. Not retired yet, 58, but love the distraction from work: aerospace.
