we did have another discussion related to mainspring winders. The reason I'm pointing it out is that as a reminder three types of arbors found on these winders. The modern style in both left and right which can be found at the PDF below. Modern style is shaped differently and recognized by the colored dot on the end of the arbor. These arbors do not have a colored dot so these are the older style.

Fortunately the arbors are interchangeable so you could purchase this set and upgrade to modern arbors.

Thanks John, great posts indeed. I just thought for under £400 these are a great buy. However there are those who successfully wind in springs by hand but me I am just to ham fisted.:unsure:
